Board of Health approves four septic system upgrades

Board of Health · Meeting of May 28, 2026

Eastham Board of Health approves septic systems for four properties. The board unanimously approved septic system plans at its May 28 meeting, including 65 Harmes Way (which required seven variances from Board of Health and state Title 5 regulations on an environmentally sensitive lot), 20 Bridge Rd (8 bedrooms with town sewer connection requirement), 1055 Bridge Rd (4 bedrooms), and 1205 Herring Brook Rd (4 bedrooms). Each plan was approved with conditions mandating operation and maintenance agreements and deed restrictions.

The board also voted unanimously to reduce effluent sampling at 15 Bonaya Rd from four times yearly to twice yearly, scheduled for May and November, based on favorable test results.
