Eastham Board of Health reviews proposed septic regulation changes at January 29 workshop. Hope Plavin, chair; Francie Williamson, vice chair; and other members agreed on a two-year cesspool elimination timeline for environmentally sensitive lots and three years for others, approved eliminating land surveyor stamps on site plans, and agreed to require inspections of older systems in sensitive areas every three years. Jason Ellis submitted 12 additional suggestions covering water supply, nitrogen loading, and inspection methods that the board agreed to review before finalizing revisions.
