Commission approves updated youth sports registration policy

Recreation Commission · Meeting of May 12, 2026

Eastham Recreation Commission updates youth sports registration to track travel teams and availability. The Commission unanimously approved changes to the registration form requiring families to report whether their children participate on travel teams and their first-game availability. Director Christine Mickle noted that children listed as unavailable for opening games may not immediately be placed on teams.

Mickle also agreed to work with the Town's Climate Action Committee on beach emissions reduction, committing to add no-idling language to beach signage in 2027 and distribute informational handouts.
