EASTHAM — The Eastham Historical Commission discussed a proposal to extend its mandatory review delays. Chair J. Holden Camp, Jr. met with Town Planner Paul Lagg to advance an amendment extending the commission's review authority from 12 to 18 months, with plans to bring the measure to the May 2027 Town Meeting.
The commission scheduled August site visits and a public hearing to review demolition requests for 295 Shurtleff Road (built 1948) and 540 Kingsbury Beach Road (built 1940). Commissioners noted that Community Preservation Act funding for historical projects has been reduced from 3 percent to 1.5 percent due to allocation toward the town sewer project.
