School Committee · Meeting of February 10, 2026
Eastham School Committee reviews FY27 $5.2 million budget with 8.25 percent increase. Superintendent Glenn Brand and Principal William Crosby identified $86,000 in savings from known retirements and $30,000 each from PreK staffing reductions and SAIL tuition adjustments, with the FY27 proposal totaling $5,210,104. The town is considering an override to meet contractual obligations due to lack of excess levy capacity.
The FY26 budget shows a deficit from unanticipated out-of-district tuition costs, to be addressed via Free Cash. The district is advancing a four-town efficiency and regionalization study examining potential facility consolidation and operational sharing.
