CPAC Endorses Wastewater Fund Diversion, Approves FY27 Reserves

Eastham CPA Committee endorses wastewater infrastructure fund with split vote. The committee voted 6-2 to allocate a percentage of Community Preservation Act monies to generate $600,000 in the first year for a new Wastewater Infrastructure Investment Fund, with Mary Shaw, Dan Coppelman, Mark Herman, Bob Harnett, Dave Hobbs, and Elaine Lipton voting yes and Joanna Buffington and Eileen Morgan voting no. Carolyn McPherson, Chair of the Affordable Housing Trust, expressed concerns about reduced CPA funding for affordable housing programs but pledged the Trust would not oppose the measure.

The committee also unanimously approved estimated CPA revenue for fiscal year 2027 and reserve amounts.
