Eastham library board approves phone booth purchase with one dissent

Eastham library board votes 3-1 to approve $14,930 privacy phone booth purchase from ROOM. Trustee Robin Rowe moved the proposal for two privacy booths to be installed in March, funded from Trustee Interest account ELBFI Mission funds, intended to reduce demand for the library's small conference room and VIS room. The board also unanimously approved up to $1,000 for an April staff appreciation event.
Friends of the Library reported the conclusion of the 10-year Eastham Garden Tour, with the remaining balance allocated $2,500 to the Eastham Famous Flower Islands group and $4,000 to the town Community Fund.
