Eastham Recycling Committee approves 2025 report, eyes food waste expansion. The committee, which includes Gwyneth Butera, Andrew Shearer, Molly Chapman, Jonathan Howard, Jim Daw, Gary Senecal, and guest Tina Acker, approved the annual report and confirmed participation at the April 25 Health and Environment Fair in Harwich. Key initiatives include expanded residential and commercial food waste recycling, coordinated with food compost expert Heather Billings, and improved signage at the Transfer Station.
The Solid Waste Working Group is implementing changes to hauler contracts, with a co-mingled recycling area for haulers expected by Summer 2027.
