Historical Commission advances succession plan and timeline extension discussion

Historical Commission · Meeting of February 19, 2026

EASTHAM — Historical Commission names successor to retiring member, explores longer review timelines. Chair J. Holden Camp Jr. is pursuing a proposal to extend the commission's mandatory review periods from 12 to 18 months, pending the Town Manager's response.

The commission unanimously approved January minutes and decided that Jeff Bumby will succeed Mark Herman upon the end of Herman's appointment. The commission interviewed Kevin Munroe as a candidate to fill a vacancy, with a Select Board interview to follow. Winter weather delayed property survey fieldwork, though analysis and documentation are progressing.
