Historical Commission approves new member, advances delay-extension effort

Eastham Historical Commission welcomes new member to vacancy. Kevin Munroe was appointed by the Select Board on February 2 and sworn in March 16, filling a vacant seat with a term expiring June 30, 2027. Commission Chair J.
Holden Camp, Jr. reported progress on a proposal to extend mandatory property-review delays from 12 to 18 months, requiring coordination with the Zoning Board of Appeals and Town Planner Paul Lagg. The commission ordered Abbott Award plaques from a new Brewster manufacturer and is preparing for potential preservation discussions on two Eastham properties: the Joshua and Ruth Doane house, circa 1768, and the Nauset Shooting Club buildings, circa 1820.
