EASTHAM — The Eastham Open Space Committee voted unanimously to move forward with a new kiosk project now that Cape Preservation Account funding has become available, with staff Alex Bates preparing the purchase order. The seven-member committee, led by Rob Young, also scheduled a June 24 meeting to begin updating the Sandy Meadow Land Management Plan with state liaison input. Committee members reported stewardship monitoring findings across three properties: erosion and tire tracks at Sandy Meadow, invasive plants at Higgins, and owl box removal at South Eastham and Boat Meadow.

The committee is collaborating with the Cape Cod Commission on a Regional Open Space Plan and receiving GIS mapping support.
