EASTHAM — The Planning Board elected Michele Vion as chair at its August 19 meeting. Vion won the position 6-0 with one board member abstaining; Vice Chair Pat Canavan and Clerk Steven Rogers were elected unanimously. The board unanimously approved James Gaita's site plan to add an addition to 23 Beach Plum Lane.
Brian Houlding's application to demolish and rebuild a dwelling at 35 Maria Road, continued from June 17, passed 4-1 with board member Kevin Gatlin dissenting; abutters had objected to the six-bedroom replacement dwelling's scale, traffic impacts, and potential pool noise.
