Search Committee reviews board vacancies, plans town meeting outreach

Search Committee · Meeting of April 15, 2026

Eastham Search Committee meets to review board recruitment progress and community volunteer initiatives. The committee reported stable appointment levels at 14 positions with 4.4 percent vacancy rate, and heard an update from Beverly Hobbs, Chair of the Council on Aging Board of Directors, about efforts to recruit new members and expand programs including HIIT classes and book clubs. Two applicants are pending interviews for the Task Force on Zoning, which has struggled to fill positions.

The committee will set up an information table at the May 4 town meeting to engage potential volunteers.
