Search Committee tracks 10.3% vacancy rate, discusses Task Force gaps

Search Committee · Meeting of February 18, 2026

EASTHAM — Search Committee reports 10.3% vacancy rate, focuses on Task Force on Zoning gaps. The board met to review unfilled positions across town committees, finding the current vacancy rate well below its 15 percent target threshold; alternate seat vacancies stand at 45 percent, below the 50 percent threshold. The committee filled 24 seats in 2025.

Chair Sue Maren's committee directed Ellen Greer to contact the Task Force on Zoning and Regulation chair to address persistent vacancies on that board, unfilled since the task force's inception in 2021 or 2022.
