Eastham Board of Health approved four septic system replacements and reduced a sampling requirement at a fifth property during its May 28 meeting at Town Hall. All four approved projects — at 65 Harmes Way, 20 Bridge Road, 1055 Bridge Road, and 1205 Herring Brook Road — involve systems deemed failed or non-compliant and will install advanced nitrogen-reducing technology, including Advantex AX20 and FAST 0.9 treatment units, with deed restrictions and operation-and-maintenance contracts required for the life of each system. Attorney John O'Reilly described the 65 Harmes Way site as "sandwiched between Cape Cod Bay and a rather large salt marsh," where Conservation Commission had already approved the project Tuesday.

The board reduced sampling at 15 Bonaya Road from four times per year to twice annually, specifying May and November. It also approved corrected April 30 minutes, including a clarification that a warrant article asked the town to support state-level Medicare-for-all legislation — not establish it locally — a measure board members said passed town meeting "overwhelmingly."
