EASTHAM — June 9, 2026 — Eastham Conservation Commission closes three compliance cases and schedules dock regulation public hearing for July 14. The commission, chaired by Karen Straus, voted unanimously at its June 9 meeting to approve certificates of compliance for septic, vista pruning, and demolition-and-rebuild projects at 1145 Kingsbury Beach Road, 10 Drake Circle, and 345 Sander Lane, respectively, while continuing a fourth compliance case to July 14. The board also approved an after-the-fact administrative review for windbreak fencing at 225 Sparrow Road, citing minor habitat impact, and approved a tree removal and pruning plan at 30 Drake Circle that requires two native replacement trees for one removed cedar. On enforcement, a debris cleanup at 30 Sander Lane was authorized pending Eastham Conservation Foundation sign-off, and a district court trial date of August 18 was confirmed for an unresolved violation at 150 Old State Highway after the subject declined a $500 settlement offer. Proposed updates to saltwater and freshwater dock regulations — including a new reminder that great-pond dock applicants must obtain a Chapter 91 state license — were approved for public hearing on July 14, following the required 21-day legal notice.
